Dementia Friendly Roadshow

For: People with dementia and their carers

What: Bristol Dementia Action Alliance is running an event with information stalls and discussion, including a brief talk on ‘Join Dementia Research’, a register for those interested in participating in dementia research.

Involvement Opportunity – Alzheimer’s Society

For: People with dementia in South Gloucestershire

What: The Alzheimer’s Society is looking for people to join their Service User Review Panel, which will meet monthly and respond to both local and national requests to consider relevant issues, such as how to ensure local services are dementia friendly.

Details: The panel meets for 1.5 hours on a Tuesday afternoon in Downend, Bristol, and is facilitated by a Dementia Support Worker from the Alzheimer’s Society. Refreshments are available and there are plenty of opportunities to take a break if needed. Any carers providing transport to the group are asked to come back at the end of the meeting when they will be given a summary of what has been discussed, and the next meeting date will be confirmed.
