Involvement Opportunity Dementia Research Network

For: People with dementia and their carers and former carers

What: The Alzheimer’s Society seeks people to join their Research Network. Possible tasks include: • help set research priorities • review funding applications • sit on grant funding panels • monitor ongoing research projects • ensure research results are communicated and outcomes translated into tangible benefits for people affected with dementia.

Details: 2-3 hours a month, at home, and you can take a break at any time. Training available to learn about research and acquire new skills.

South Bristol Community Hospital Open Day

What: University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust, in partnership with Bristol Community Health, is offering the chance to look round the hospital and find out about the services on offer. Children and young people, their parents and carers and other professionals involved in their care are encouraged to respond to the consultation. At the centre of the consultation is an innovative and unique website, one of the most original and user friendly approaches to be used in an NHS consultation.
